My first tag - I think I have waited all my life for this moment - a big thank you to Janei'a for making this moment possible.... Haha!
TAGGED 6 Facts/Habits about yourself. Tag 6 others at the end and let them know!
#1 I am not a morning person and since I am writing this post at 8:30am from work you can only imagine my current mood.... So, I hope my next five are more positive or at least not too negative. I did not realize how much of a non-morning person I was until I got married. Poor Danny is so sweet and nice in the morning. He likes to have nice conversations and sings me songs as we get ready (and he'd kill me if he knew I was sharing this). Sometimes he tries to get me to sing along but I am such a grump. Then we leave to work and about an hour later my morning mood has worn away and then I wanna sing! =)
#2 I love Ranch dressing but not just any kind - it has to be Hidden Valley Light. Everyone in my family finds this so amusing that I have often been the recipient of dressing bottles for birthdays, wedding showers, etc. I have even taken my own bottle to a restaurant - LaMe!
#3 I once worked for a United Stated Congressman who is now serving 36 months in prison for conspiracy to defraud the United States and falsifying financial disclosure forms. He was Jack Abramoff's bribe taker. Talk about total resume bust.
#4 I use to love diet coke but now I totally loathe it. It's rather sad actually. Something has gone terribly wrong with my taste buds and the once crisp refreshing diet coke now tastes like I am drinking a chemical. I have considered going to the doctors and trying to sort through this madness but I guess I am just waiting for a miracle as nothing has been able to replace my DC. =(
#5 I am an ice cream fanatic and fortunately despite my taste bud issues this sweet treat is still a-OK! Back in the summer of 2004 I think I did not go a single day without eating at least one serving of ice cream. The poor guy I dated that summer finally one day confessed that he thought he was lactose intolerant and all the ice cream outings were making him a little sick - haha, opps!
#6 I love the beach and warm weather. Thankfully I married an island man (did you know Galveston is an island? I didn't!) so hopefully we will one day live in a warmer climate.
I'm tagging Diane, Joanie, Jessie, Peapod, Maria, and Laura. Xoxo.

Dropping Like Flies...
Ok, so this post is dedicated to my darling (more like studly) big brother... I know this seems to be kinda like a trend on my blog. He had emergency surgery to take out his appendix. This is the second time I have visited him in the hospital in the last 2 months. Seriously, my siblings are dropping like flies, but at least they do it with such good looks. =) Love you Brandon ... Get Better! Xoxo.
But don't worry things are looking up - he got green jello!

You Should See the Other Girl...
Ok, so this post is dedicated to my darling little sister. She is my hero. They did a biopsy this past Friday to see if they can figure out what is wrong with her eye. Still no definite diagnosis but we are praying that the doctors will figure it out soon. I am amazed at how tough she has been through all of this and how she has even carried on with a bit of humor. GET BETTER... LOVE YOU! Arrrgh, here is to pirate eyes! Xoxo!

T-MINUS - 24 hours, 7 mintues, and 27 seconds
As I sit here on the Eve of the Season Premiere ofThe Office I can't help but be a little anxious. It's like Christmas Eve when you were a kid - the anticipation is mounting, the excitement undeniable, and sometimes you even fear a bit of disappointment for what Santa will bring this year - or maybe that was just me as a child, naughty was my middle name. Anyway, I truly hope that the season brings joy, laughter, and peace for us all! MERRY SEASON 4!!!
In honor of this day Danny and I bought season 3 on DVD. I managed to view them all in time but Danny was not able to because of his busy work schedule that takes him out of town a lot. Poor guy.
Saturday Morning Office-athon begins...
Danny with our Dundee Award. He wins it for being the best husband a girl could dream of. Xoxo.

America's Funniest Video
Seriously, AFV is so funny now. Ever since the show got rid of good ole' "Mr. Tanner" and got this new guy Tom the show is actually quite good. ANYWAY, the real point of this blog is that in tonight's episode Tom introduced this one video saying that it was a man playing the piano with his butt. So the clip comes on and there is one guy actually playing a song and the other guy busting his tush on the low keys of the piano in unison with the song. It actually sounded pretty good... but to me the funniest part was that on the wall behind them were pictures of the Prophet and the Quorum of the 12! ! ! Haha, what people do in Church Buildings is ludicrous. Well, I went on AFV's website to try to get the clip but I think they don't put up the current shows clips until later. So I will check back and find it - and trust me once I find it I will surely add it onto here.
But in the mean time check out this cute but kinda scary set of quadruplets....

Martha Who?
I decided that the ugly beige seat covers from circa 1973 that plagued our dining room chairs had to go. Danny and I rent so we can't touch our white walls, so the walls mixed with the beige chairs and carpet made me feel like the room was basically blah (like whoa!). So I went to Jo-Anne's Fabric, picked out something with a little flare, and ta-da here is the outcome....

My Best Friend's Wedding
My darling Carole Ann got married yesterday. It was a lovely sealing and day (despite the heat & humidity). Carole Ann and Jon Bullough are a wonderful couple and I am so excited for the them to finally be married. I have decided that Jon has some serious stud quality and that my best friend is in great hands! The reception was so much fun. We all got our groove on to the awesome jazz band and got a little teary eyed when Jon performed a song he wrote for Carole Ann (it made me miss my Danny - he was out of town for work). I just <3 love.

Weddings in DC... in August!? (they are braver than I)
So it is hazy, hot, and humid here in DC. Typical weather for this time a year. So it is baffling to me that we have 5 weddings to go to during the month of the 3 H's. We did not have a one in June or July but it seems that all engaged couple's eyes have been on August. Hey, more power to them! Here are a few pics from some of the joyous events...

DC United v Beckham???
But on the other side of this I feel like I should welcome the fact that Beckham and his Spice Chick are bringing soccer some attention, after all it is the World's football. So here is to hoping that the USA will, through the help of 2 Brits, start to recognize the true best game out there.
I'm in Loooove...

It is not every day that you fall in love. I mean since falling in love with Danny I think there has been only one other time I have fallen in love (Discovery Channel's Shark Week but I guess that was more of a fling since the romance only lasted 7 days) until today! OK, so I got my Lucky magazine in the mail this week and inside found some free samples of Palmer's Brand lotion. I immediately recognized the lotion from my younger days at Forest Oak Middle School. I first laid eyes on this Cocoa Butter Formula lotion back in the girls locker room at good ole' FOMS. My best friend used this lotion and she said it helped with scars and her "ash-i-ness". (For those unfamiliar with what being ashy is please take a moment to visit the Urban Dictionary and expand your mind: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=ashy) Why I did not take more notice to it then is beyond me because this little sample packet changed my life. I spent my lunch hour trying to get my hands on a bottle of this stuff in lotion form (the balm stuff just won't cut it) without success. Realizing that I could not loose my love I searched some more and found it at Target. Lesson learned - when you recognize a good thing stop at nothing to get it, it worked on Danny and it certainly worked with my Cocoa Butter... and of course shop at Target first.

Mr. & Mrs.
Danny and I were married on November 24, 2006 in the Washington, DC LDS Temple. It was a wonderful day shared with family and friends. We were lucky to have almost everyone in our family there, especially considering many were coming from across the country and one even had to make his trek from Honduras! The weather was unusually warm for late November and not a single drop of rain to ruin my hair! All in all we can't help but feel like it was truly a perfect day.

We were happy to be able to take a 7 day cruise through the western Caribbean. It was my first time to Mexico, Belize, and Guatemala. Also noteworthy was that Danny and I enjoyed the company of many lovely members from my home Stake, not to mention about 100 other BYU alums and future Cougs on their exciting Book of Mormon Cruise. Haha! Ahhh the memories....
