James in Motion

I finally figured out how to get my videos up and running. This is a family favorite. Here is James doing the Mexican Hat Dance at age 4 months.

Oh and sorry it is side-ways. How do I fix this? =)
They must of had a killer first dance performance after this.
Carole Ann - thanks for the video
Enjoy...

Facts...

He is a handsome little devil...

And he seems to think so too...

He is a good little dancer...

And he is a long skinny lil bugger.

(At his 9 mo. check-up he weighed 17.5 lbs and was 29.5 inches.)

He loves his dad.

And loves to wrestle with him.

And he has no problem making friends.

Who needs a little brother anyway?

Behind...

I am just a little slooooow on this but ....
the 4th of July 2009 Bash (Mexican Edition)
was outta this world fun
so I just have to get these pics up.

Miss America 2023?

Lots of tastey foods and cute little desserts.

Coca-cola and Root Beer. It was like we were in the good ole U.S.A.!

Our 4th had a very special U.S.A. Pinata. Filled with all sorts of American candy.

Do not be decieved by her cute-ness. This lil chick could swing a bat with the pro's.

Praying for the Pinata to finally break open? Our Primary is so spiritual.

Yum.

A layer of vanilla ice cream + a layer of raspberry sorbet + a layer of vanilla ice cream + some blueberries = YUM.
X's that by a million and you get the coolest part of all ...
the cookie spoons = PERFECTION.
From Martha, or course.

Serenade.

I was just on the phone with these 2 cuties:

I was having a kinda frustrating day until I asked them to sing me a song. You know - like primary song or something. No, they rocked out singing this song:

They even stuck in my name, dad's name, etc. I feel like a new woman after feeling their vibes.

Yeah, my niece and nephew are cooler than yours... =)

And Speaking of Babies...

My friend Carole Ann and her hubby Jon are having a baby in January! Congrats! I am thrilled and can't wait to know what kinda bundle of joy it is - either way what a cutie it is going to be!!!
I am so happy that the cats outta the bag because (just to tease you all) I have been keeping 3...count 'em 3 pregnancy secrets. I hope 2 is going to be easier to keep... probably not. =)
And just so you know - Fort Knox here - so don't even try to get it outta me.
Also, my friends Rylie and Chris are expecting a girl! Rylie snuck in for a second ultra-sound after the baby was hiding it's parts in the first one. I am so thrilled for them! She is going to be one gorgeous baby girl!
Oh man, I just love all things babies - probably because James is currently sleeping through the night. Haha.
.

P to the S... Happy 9 months James-i-poo! Wow! How time flies...

Whoa Baby!

I have no idea why I am blogging about this but wow...

The Biggest Loser winners,
Marty and Amy
had their first baby...
10lbs 14 oz. Holy Smokes!
But I guess she is happy to know that she discovered her fastest weight loss secret -
deliver a HUGE baby!

Wish we could live near these guys ...

...or ANY of James' 22 cousins.

A Very Mexican 4th!

*Happy 4th of July!*

Strange to be celebrating it in a foreign country but at the same time fitting - I have a deeper respect and love for my country than ever before.

I love Mexico.
I love Brasil.
But nothing will ever compare to the love I have for
the United States of America.

We celebrated with Hamburger, hot dogs, root beer, and ice cream. Very American.
We celebrated with a pinata, arracherra, guacamole. Very not-American.
We celebrated all afternoon, which made me a happy girl and... a tired girl.

But I do miss this today:

(Fact: This is my FIRST 4th not in our Nations capital (ok, there was one year I had to go to Pioneer Trek) but I am a faithful D.C. firework attender - rain, hail, terrorist threats, or shine!)

I am proud to be an American - in Mexico - and always.

God Bless the U.S.A

Xochimilco (so-chi-mil-co)

Xochimilco is better known for its extended series of canals — all that remains of the ancient Lake Xochimilco.
This was our boat. Hmm...Is it a sign? My mom's name is Maria and she is Brasilian. Our Captain (and our Mexican).
Chance? How did he get down to Mexico? He missed Danny too much I guess.
Me with my little Mexicano.
Uh? What is more strange - that it says USA -or- that the "u" is backwards? Don't they have the letter "u" in their alphabet?
And other happenings...
Snow is Mexico? No. It's just a hail storm. How cute can we get?
Er...How gross can we get?
