James and Lindsey's 1st Birthday!

Let them eat cake! Sweet Lindsey - the Birthday Girl!
Sweet James - the Birthday Boy!
Trying to get family pictures ... in vain.
At first James was more interested in his candle
but it did not take long until he was all over that cake!
The Birthday babes were not too sure about the hats I made.
Good times had by all...

Utah!

Our trip to Utah was a blast! We loved, loved, loved getting to see our family and friends in Utah so much. We are truly blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives. Here are a few highlights from our trip.
.
.
We spent a morning at Salt Lake's Hoogle Zoo with our buddies Rylee and Nolan. We got an up close and personal look at the tiger eating his lunch. Rylee did not even bat an eye when the tiger came right up to her. Brave lil thing. The SL Zoo had lots of new baby animals. My favorite was definitely the baby giraffe - Jamal!
James' first carousel ride.
Auntie Allie said he made a good choice with the gorilla.
Baby Elephant.
James is one lucky boy to have such a cool Grandma!!!

James loved Grandma... and her reading glasses.

Grandma Marynel and her lil buddy James.
James also got to see Uncle Sam. Uncle Sam and his girlfriend Addie were so good to James. They played and played with him, took him to the park, and I think they even changed a diaper!

We were able to spend some time with cousins at the Pumpkin Patch.
They are a cute bunch of blue-eyed blondies. James fit right in.
(Aleah, Will, Matt, Zach, and James)
We also got to see buddy Manoa - who is SO SO dang cute! Look at the face!
I also got to see my cousins. See, I actually do have family that look like me. I got no Brasilian genes... except the temper. =) These cousins are just lovely ladies - inside and out - I just wish we were able to visit A LOT more with each other. I think of these two cousins a lot now that I live in Mexico. They spent some years in Venezuela when their parents were mission presidents. I remember their funny stories from their time there and now I feel like I can relate to a lot of it. James was so lucky because his cousins are so fun ...
they even got down to crawl around with him. True cousin love.
We got to visit the stinky animals. Which James loved!

And we got to ride our first pony...
... which I am not so sure we loved. =)

Baby Topher was so stinking cute. And, so was Baby Carson.
2010 ladies!?

Hey Baby Lets go to Vegas!

Rylee was a celebrity pulling this bag that's as big as she is.
She even had strangers snapping photos ... who could resist, she is so darn cute! Family photo, Vegas style. James has his birthday hat on.
Krissa, me, Ry, and James eating dinner.
The pool was neat-o. That slide is going through the tank filled with sharks and fishys.
Danny and James checking out the sea life. The pool bums.
The bath bums.

We had a lot of fun in Vegas with our good friends Matt and Krissa and their two ridiculously cute kiddies. James was so lucky to have some buddies to celebrate his 1st birthday with.
