A Utah Christmas!

It was so much fun to be back in the USA for Christmas for so many reasons... (in no particular order-after Target of course) Target, English, a White Christmas, cousins, Grandma, aunts, uncles, friends, games, lucha libre masks, Cafe Rio, caramel apples, gingerbread men, The CCC Party, Christmas music, new baby Nolan, and lots of snuggles for Baby J...

And we are off to Utah!

ChRiStMaS MoRnInG!!!

Danny and I brought all the guys Lucha Libre masks from Mexico. They went out that night and did wild boy stuff Nacho Libre style! Blackmail?

The trip went by too fast... I was not ready to leave...tears were shed (by me). I guess being crammed in a house with 8 adults and 8 kids was just what I needed since living in Mexico can sometimes be lonely. I am thankful we got to be there with so much family to celebrate Christmas.

James says MeRrY ChRiStMaS to all!!!

happy!

James is up to 11.5 lbs! Of course he downed a 6oz. bottle right before we entered the Doctor's office BUT regardless he gained weight... that makes me one happy mommy!

Speaking of happy...
little J is one happy baby these days...

Amazing what a little food in the tummy can do for you!

James in the big boy bed...Don't worry we did not let him sleep there there by himself.

Utah Here We Come!

YeAh for ChRiStMaS!

We head out to Salt Lake City to be with Danny's mom for Christmas! I am so excited for so many reasons - I hope I can sleep tonight. =) The only thing I am not to thrilled about - the weather - I think we have forgotten how cold 30 degrees and below feels! But hopefully little J gets to see his first snow.

Looking back to last year...

Duck!

I just think this video is funny. President Bush is addressing the press in Iraq when all the sudden one journalist starts throwing shoes at him. I am shocked how quick and nimble the President is - he ducks just as the shoe flies over his head! He later joked: "I don't know what the guy said, but I saw his sole." Haha, how cheesy.

See it here:

Many Thanks!

So, I did not think I sounded too sad and in despair with my last post but maybe I did since I got a bunch of e-mails and phone calls from friends, friends of friends (although Erica - I am going to throw it out there - we are just FRIENDS despite not having met yet), sisters, mom, and aunts all wanting to reassure, give advice, and just share their nursing failures with me. Haha! I think that all you lovely ladies just knew exactly how I felt.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
The e-mails and calls lifted my spirits and made me feel a lot better. I think baby J is already getting fatter!
Woo-hoo!
Thanks - Liz, Erica, Carmen, Aunt Margaret, Jen, Diane, and Mom
Xoxo.

Baby, baby, baby...

I know we are flooding this blog with a lot of baby... but lets be honest he runs our life right now! I found out yesterday why my poor little guy is probably so fussy. He has not gained enough weight and upon retunring home after seeing the Doc I pumped and realized that I have very little breast milk. =( This first time mom felt pretty bad - I could not help but feel like I have been starving my poor baby. Anyway, I do feel a lot of comfort now that we know and can take action to fatten the little guy up! Answer to prayers - even more thankful for blessings now! James has not hit 10lbs yet but he is 23.5 inches long. We go back in a week to get him weighed.
Prayers are welcomed. =)

Blessing Day

Blessings

Today we blessed our little guy. He fussed through it but I would have it no other way. Danny did a wonderful job. I was so proud of my guys. =) (Pictures to follow - trust me - he was a cutie)

I also got a blessing today from my Danny and his dad who is visiting from TX. I needed it. It has not been an easy last couple months. Motherhoold has such extreme joys and challneges... so does living in a foreign country. I felt a lot of peace after. I did not share what I was grateful for on Thanksgiving - but today I am grateful for this day of blessings.

Thanksgiving!

We had a nice Thanksgiving here in Mexico. We were blessed to eat turkey at the McDonnough's from our Chruch Ward. They have a lovely family with 2 girls and little boy. They also had the On family over with their 2 boys and baby girl. It was so nice to be around the kiddos since we typically enjoy such holidays with our nieces and nephews running around too!
We spent the morning at a Turkey Bowl. Danny was thrilled - "what's Thanksgiving without playing (and watching) some football?!" Yes, they have football in Mexico and I don't just mean "futebol"!

The only picture I got from Thanksgiving dinner. Baby pooped through his cute outfit so I guess it was meant to be...

The gamers!
Sad that Thankgiving is over but not to worry CHRISTMAS is around the corner!!!

"And we'll beat those birds down to ACAPULCO BAY!"

It was nice to get out and see some of Mexico! Since the baby has joined us it has been a challenge for us new parents to much besides grocery shop and go to Church it seems. The trip was kinda hectic with a newborn but Acapulco Bay sure is a beautiful site!!!

Most exciting part: the 007 style car ride to out smart the 50 or so banditos (aka robbers) in masks at a toll booth on the way home. Way to drive sweetie!!!

P.S. The trip was for in celebration of our Anniversary...
HAPPY 2 YEARS DANNY! Xoxo!

My beach bum.

Love the sun...baby not so much.

D enjoying the Bay.

The view from our casita.

How he felt about getting his feet dipped into the pool...

My men. Love those skinny leggys!

1 MoNth!

Guess who is the BiG 1 month!? My how time flies - even when you are tired! =) James has been a happier little guy lately. He is coo-ing and making attempts to smile too.

Just some proof he take naps... in his crib! Yeah!

Crybabies

Oh man what a week! This little dude was a serious cry baby early this week and seemed to only sleep when either Danny or I held him. It was fun for one night sleeping all snuggled up in bed together but after a second and third I was at my wits end thinking what they heck do I do! Will I ever have my arms back!? =) But small miracles - he took an hour and half nap in his crib yesterday and is currently napping in his crib! Sigh. But he sure is so darn cute!!!
It's not easy being the littlest guy!
