Baby, baby, baby...

I know we are flooding this blog with a lot of baby... but lets be honest he runs our life right now! I found out yesterday why my poor little guy is probably so fussy. He has not gained enough weight and upon retunring home after seeing the Doc I pumped and realized that I have very little breast milk. =( This first time mom felt pretty bad - I could not help but feel like I have been starving my poor baby. Anyway, I do feel a lot of comfort now that we know and can take action to fatten the little guy up! Answer to prayers - even more thankful for blessings now! James has not hit 10lbs yet but he is 23.5 inches long. We go back in a week to get him weighed.
Prayers are welcomed. =)

Blessings

Today we blessed our little guy. He fussed through it but I would have it no other way. Danny did a wonderful job. I was so proud of my guys. =) (Pictures to follow - trust me - he was a cutie)

I also got a blessing today from my Danny and his dad who is visiting from TX. I needed it. It has not been an easy last couple months. Motherhoold has such extreme joys and challneges... so does living in a foreign country. I felt a lot of peace after. I did not share what I was grateful for on Thanksgiving - but today I am grateful for this day of blessings.

Thanksgiving!

We had a nice Thanksgiving here in Mexico. We were blessed to eat turkey at the McDonnough's from our Chruch Ward. They have a lovely family with 2 girls and little boy. They also had the On family over with their 2 boys and baby girl. It was so nice to be around the kiddos since we typically enjoy such holidays with our nieces and nephews running around too!
We spent the morning at a Turkey Bowl. Danny was thrilled - "what's Thanksgiving without playing (and watching) some football?!" Yes, they have football in Mexico and I don't just mean "futebol"!

The only picture I got from Thanksgiving dinner. Baby pooped through his cute outfit so I guess it was meant to be...

The gamers!
Sad that Thankgiving is over but not to worry CHRISTMAS is around the corner!!!

"And we'll beat those birds down to ACAPULCO BAY!"

It was nice to get out and see some of Mexico! Since the baby has joined us it has been a challenge for us new parents to much besides grocery shop and go to Church it seems. The trip was kinda hectic with a newborn but Acapulco Bay sure is a beautiful site!!!

Most exciting part: the 007 style car ride to out smart the 50 or so banditos (aka robbers) in masks at a toll booth on the way home. Way to drive sweetie!!!

P.S. The trip was for in celebration of our Anniversary...
HAPPY 2 YEARS DANNY! Xoxo!

My beach bum.

Love the sun...baby not so much.

D enjoying the Bay.

How he felt about getting his feet dipped into the pool...

1 MoNth!

Guess who is the BiG 1 month!? My how time flies - even when you are tired! =) James has been a happier little guy lately. He is coo-ing and making attempts to smile too.

Just some proof he take naps... in his crib! Yeah!

Crybabies

Oh man what a week! This little dude was a serious cry baby early this week and seemed to only sleep when either Danny or I held him. It was fun for one night sleeping all snuggled up in bed together but after a second and third I was at my wits end thinking what they heck do I do! Will I ever have my arms back!? =) But small miracles - he took an hour and half nap in his crib yesterday and is currently napping in his crib! Sigh. But he sure is so darn cute!!!
It's not easy being the littlest guy!

Temple Open House

The Mexico City Temple is soon to reopen after being closed for quite some time for renovations. We had the pleasure of going with our Bishop/Doctor and his family to walk through the Temple. The workers there said that last Saturday they had over 10,000 people come through! It is such a neat experience to see the Temple - especially here in Mexico where things are not as familiar. We drove across town through the busy, crowded streets and into a rather run down area before setting eyes on the beautiful Temple. So wonderful to recognize it and to know it is the House of the Lord and it was especially wonderful to be there with our sweet little guy. =)

HaPPy HallOwEEn!

Hope everyone had a great Halloween. Here in Mexico they definitely celebrate it - as we found out after probably hundreds of trick-o-treaters flooded our apartment complex. They turned down the lights in the atrium and the kids went wild! We sadly ran out of candy after only about 30 minutes! Today is Day of the Dead here so it's double the fun!

James was a little green monster/dinosaur. We are not really sure what is was - Carters Outlet had it on sale and it was warm. He was however very darling - this we know for sure. =)

Not too sure about this costume thing.
We called him the boob monster - since all he wants to do is EAT! Proof. Daddy and Jamesy-poo

Lately

Oh how he grows! It's true what my mom says, "they seem to change each day". I wish he wouldn't get too big too fast... but... maybe he could sleep a bit better. =)

Thanks Grandma G for the mobile!

Not too happy but we love the cute hoodie from Aunty Diane!

Play time with Daddy. Thanks Carmen for the cuuuute blanket!
He loves that Panda.
Obsessed!

Pretty flowers that the Embassy sent to Mama!

GO OILERS!!

Alright, so the Franklins gave us a nice football bath-time set for James, and when we pulled it out I thought it looked kind of familiar. It took a few days using it for me to put it together. Got to love the good ole Oilers. Man how I miss their light blue uniforms with the oil rig on the helmets. Here is my tribute.
